I clapped because I love Dynamo.

I was listening to Miami Sound Machine and this gif works perfectly with the song Conga.

If you want to go there, got it on laserdisc and japanese manga(and vhs, dvd[metal pack], blu ray twice, american manga)

Yeah, I checked it a bit later and 2000 is more accurate. I think it's just a shade over that.

Oh I've read the book. I've done everything with Akira I can (still haven't gotten psycho pinball, but eventually) The books are fantastic. The hipster part is telling people to ignore the movie because the books are better for some reason. They're a much different beast from each other as to barely be comparable.

Thank you kind sir for making my evening complete.

Ah ha! Sorry about my confusion.

Where did this header image come from? I want it for my background, only without the kotaku deals bit

I'm not permitted to play the soundtrack while driving anymore. Something about the Doll's polyphony creeps people out or something. Go figure.

+1 for Akira on vinyl alone

I wholeheartedly recommend reading the Akira manga. It's the fanboys who claim that this beautifully animated film is shit because it doesn't carry every nuance of a 6 volume (I'm estimating around 1000 pages) graphic novel series that I'm against.

I seem to recall getting my five dollars credited to the game I bought

Should you watch Akira?

I think the part that makes it (a contender for being) art is the higher resolution background combined with the lower resolution subject. It evokes a feeling not unlike the adventure games that were mentioned in the article.

Sounds like a good place to start my writing. Kung Fury. Can't beat that name.

I maintain that Speed Racer was a great adaptation of the original Speed Racer animated series. It only doesn't count because it didn't disappoint me.

My first time making egg drop soup I mis-estimated the temperature the chicken broth needed to be cooked at.

You know you like it when I talk dirty about street fighter

This seems to be a popular one today. I may have to make a little "worst of the franchise" set of articles

Either one. Though I was specifically referring to the one with Raul Julia.
