Yes. The streamline dub is the original dub from the mid-90's. It's not as technically good as the second dub, but it has it's fans due to it occurring first. And it still has it's charms.

Yes. It's a very good future punk film about bioengineering. The plot was weakened from the comic's point of view, but the animation is gorgeous, the soundtrack is fantastic, and even with a weakened plot it's still amazing.

I've watched the movie in japanese a few times. Working on reading it in Japanese too. Scientific terms make for a much slower read though. I generally watch things in their original languages. Akira is a special case.
