That could be it. I know that in Hexagon and Hexagoner it doesn't trigger any ending even if you die after 60:00. Maybe it's just in Hexagonest, but the closest I've gotten is 53:00 so far.

The video in the Joystiq article is of the Hexagonest difficulty. Here's a video of him beating the *Hyper* Hexagonest difficulty!
Sorry, I'm with cowboy on this. I thought the soundtrack was exceptional and one of the best in years. :P
Thanks! I like the sound of that. Moving the games up my must play list :)
I absolutely love JRPGS, but I know nothing about Baten Kaitos besides its name. Coincidentally just today I was looking at a list of GameCube titles that I should try to get my hands on to play on the Wii, and Baten Kaitos was there. Convince me to play this game! From the GameCube I have already finished Tales of…
I *really* wanted to play Tales of Graces, but at the moment I only have a Wii - for which the game was only released in Japan. But what bothers me the most is that there was a fan translation being created http://talesofgraces.com/ and it was *almost* complete, but once the PS3 localization was announced the group…
Yes, do not miss out on Xenoblade if you have any interest in JRPGs - which you seem to, since you liked The Last Story. It was without any doubt my favorite Wii game.
I did every quest in the game except some of the end game ones, and clocked at around 120 hours. The game is already huge by nature, but the quests are the most time consuming portion, so you might be able to finish considerably earlier if you skip most quests.
In my opinion, the problem wasn't as much the ending in itself, but how much of the story they suddenly skipped. The pacing on the last two episodes was also a lot different from the rest of the series, and I actually had no idea I was watching the last episode until it hit the credits.
I think I've heard this before, but from experience, it's really not true.
Totally agree! Although so far I've only watched around 12 of this years shows, this one was easily my favorite. But I was really hoping for 26 episodes on this. With the premature ending, I just couldn't bring myself to give it a perfect score on my book. A perfect score which ironically, I gave to Fate/Zero, despite…
I have played Persona 3 and 4 before, but have never played Digital Devil Saga. How does it compare? And which one is better, DDS 1 or 2?
I find it perfectly legit to place FFIV in Tier 3. I played VI, V, and IV, in a row and in that order for the SNES, and my level of enjoyment for each of them was also pretty much how you divided them. I absolutely loved VI for its character development, had a *lot* of fun with V with the job system, but while I also…
Pretty much the same ranking for me, except that I also enjoyed Final Fantasy XII a lot, and would probably place it in Tier 3 at least. Probably enjoyed it more than FFIV. Actually the only gripe I have with the game is that Vaan and Penelo were extremely uninteresting and seemed out of place compared to the rest of…
I thought the gameplay in the SNES version was great and anything but bland. Ledge grabbing like Prince of Persia, air gliding with the rug at any time, jumping on enemies and special platforms had spring physics which were often necessary, or things that you could grab on and swing to gain momentum before the jumps.…
