I really really like the second intro as well, but I think there's something to be said for the short simplicity of the first one.
I don't know that it's my favorite favorite, but Borderlands had a pretty great opening that was succinct, catchy, and a good impression of what you were about to get.

I just think Kirby's cuter when he's angry. It's like when a five year old tells you about how bad his day was. He might be frowning and pouty, but meanwhile you're studiously trying to avoid hurting his feelings by cracking the biggest grin.
I almost stopped watching after the trailer part of the video, but I continued and am really glad I did. The animations during the explanations are really cute.
That is a nice story. Taken as a whole it also reinforces my opinion that the best part of MMOs is the community, while the worst part of MMOs is the community.
Trying to be clever and being clever are two very different things. Just because something is a joke doesn't mean it gets a pass for being stupid. (The aforementioned cleverness is usually what affords it that privilege.)

Forgive the nitpicking, but if you "buy and start playing just two" launch-day shooters that install 45GB and 49GB each, you're nearing 100GB out of 500GB, which is a fifth, not a tenth.
