When I was about 9 I was out watching the sky late at night in the summer. There had just been a lunar eclipse and, it having completed, my family and neighbors had all gone inside but me. I was standing under a tree on the edge of my neighbors' lawn and the moon was out over the street so I wasn't looking straight…
I've known about this trick forever, but for me it mostly came from being painfully shy.
