My wife got her oil changed for her TWICE in the life of her VW and both times they cross-threaded the drain hole that is built into the pan (which costs $150 to replace). It took days, and one screaming match with a Jiffy Lube attendant to get them to pay for it.

Toyota Corolla FX16. Great little hot hatch. I get really excited when I see one and no one understands why. And unlike most small cars with great handling they are rarely kitted out since no one remembers them.
