It’s probably some kind of skin allergy, because people slather on mystery goo without looking at the ingredients, especially if they’ve been assured it’s “natural”. Lotion does not become “impacted in one’s pores”. You can wash your hair every damn day with oil based conditioners…

Also depends on your scalp. If it’s very dry, you have totally, totally different needs from a human oil factory like me. And someone who falls somewhere in between has yet other needs...

totally, i can see why you would think that, but Wen is really just fancy conditioner. People in curly hair online communities have been co-washing (the term for washing hair with conditioner) for a long time. And though you wouldn’t think that would make your hair clean... it does. For me, at least.

Some groups I’m in, as well as some comments he has made, suggest he may have (accidentally?) mixed the UV curable gel base in with regular polishes. Apparently this has happened to peoples’ nails before if they wore a gel polish that they didn’t UV cure properly.

As I recommended to the person below you I’d start with KbShimmer and ILNP. There are so many other good ones, but those two should give you a pretty good idea of what indies have to offer that mainstream polishes don’t.
