well actually they did

Some people can have reasons to pre-order, tho. In my case I sometimes pre-order so I can do preloads, since my internet is very slow (6Mb, fastest for my area, and during the day it’s closer to 2Mb) so the only way I can play most games on release date is by preloading - and for some titles, playing them on release

Every single recommended story is “Stop preordering video games.” Every. Single. One.
That’s hilarious.

Now playing

Come now, Activision. This is just embarassing. Especially considering that the “other” Insomniac game this year, Spider-Man nailed it so well.

Would like to know the value of houses here. Guess values drop the closer you are to the wall.

Maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t cared too much about the increased complexity as the series has evolved. EV training, breeding, held items, nature’s... i like keeping it simple. Even if it means the game will be easy in this case, I’m still down for it.

Intelligent Qube is one of the few games on that list I was actually pleased to see.

Huge step back if the roster and stages are Sonic-only. Part of the allure of the previous excellent games were the heavy doses of Sega fanservice, directions I’d like to see Mario Kart take after a roster of endless Koopalings and Baby characters no one picks. To remove the love letters to Golden Axe, Shinobi, JGR,and

I loved Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed - it was a a great tribute to the franchises of Sega and I never even owned a single Sega console but loved it anyway.  This version though I have no interest in, limiting it to Sonic suddenly lowers its appeal and the tracks just look bland and uninteresting which is a

I would guess the latter - street-level Yakuza may not always be the brightest of the bunch, but they’re still generally smart enough not to leave the murder weapon at the scene, or to touch and place belongings like his cell phone.

How about they finally put in all the Sega characters?

...

Seems like Epic is pocketing most of the cash there. Isn’t 10,000 v bucks $100? How many creators would make more than that? Seems to be catering to the most talented, experienced designers while leaving newbies out in the cold.

just stop

I thought Friday the 13th was no longer supported because of licensing issues.

Meanwhile over in another Nintendo fandom...

I’m almost 40, and while I like to poop on games as something people should be able to do “professionally” and make a living at, it is becoming clear to me that high-level competitions are becoming more and more as big a part of the games as the games itself, and these players are driving that.

I think, even with all the positive changes, I am just too burned to care enough to jump back in(which the more I consider is really a boon, cause ain’t no one got time for that grind). Also, they already have a lot of my money, so while I applaud the live teams once again valiant efforts in bailing out the total fuck

No, I *jokingly* gave it a 7/10. We don't do review scores at Kotaku.

I still have an 6s. Perfectly happy with it and I can wait for at least another year or two before getting an older model. Let the suckers - oh wait I meant the Apple Fan Boyz buy the latest stuff and work out the kinks.
