We will miss you, Patrick! Thank you for your candor, and for the laughs. I can’t wait to see what you do next.

Just watch Binging with Babish and get all of your fictional food needs met. He made a cheesy blaster!
Here in the... middle Midwest, I guess? I hadn’t heard of kringle until we sold them for a band fundraiser. The issue I have with them around here is that they are always days old, soft, and kind of depressing, the way that pastries go stale and soggy at the same time.
I was hoping someone would make this joke.
WE’LL MISS YOU, KATE! *sobs into my lunch*
Uuuuuuuugh. So far, I’ve been able to continue watching The Grand Tour, telling myself that even though Jeremy sucks, Richard is my fave, so I can just focus on him. After this last season and their “Children and environmental protection are bad and stupid” takes, I really can’t anymore.
Youth librarian here. I LOVE Katie O’Neill’s stuff. Aquacorn Cove is brilliant, Princess x Princess Ever After is lovely, and I just got the Tea Dragon Society card game!
My Thanksgiving is always with my mom’s vaguely Germanic side of the family, and the star of the show isn’t the turkey, it’s the noodles. We have a local Amish company that does delicious thin egg noodles, and my mom simmers them up in the turkey drippings and lots of butter and they are everyone’s favorite.
My dad was giving me hell for paying for Spotify Premium. “Ten bucks a month? That adds up, you know!” And then I showed him my yearly wrapped from last year. For 2018, it averaged out to about 2 hours of music for each dollar I spent. More than worth it, plus I discover so much new stuff! AND it’s a great podcast app.
I think it’s worth mentioning The Adventure Zone and Critical Role as well, not just because I enjoy them, but because the live-play DnD podcast market is pretty huge. TAZ had not one, but two bestselling graphic novels (with another one on the way) as well as sold out national tours. They’ve influenced an entire…
Hell yeah, new flavors. Listen. Is White Claw a trend? Yes. Is it tasty and low-fuss? Yes. It’s not heavy like beer, it’s cheap-ish and easy to find everywhere, and it’s a chill thing to bring to a party or drink on the patio.
The best read about Thanksgiving. Sometimes you lean into the suck, and life finds a way to remind you that amid the suck there are some pretty rad bits too. Thanks, Aimee!
Growing up, one of my friends did a bunch of these things. Avon, Mary Kay, all sorts of parties. When I got older, all of my colleagues and friends at my workplace had them for Thirty-One bags, Origami Owl, Pampered Chef, and more.
Loving this series. Long live the Scamp!
Man from U.N.C.L.E., Fury Road, and Skyfall all have to be up there for me.
Came here to say this! My roommate bought a three whisk set from IKEA when she moved in, and the largest size is so annoying to try and store! We now only use medium and tiny, and they are amazing.
Honestly, this just fits in with the liminal space vibe of an airport. People from all over, out of time, and society breaking down. Gotta love it.
Seriously. I have never been able to make a loaf of bread that I would serve to another person. I eat my underproved loafs myself of course, but I don’t quite know what I’m doing wrong. I don’t know if I am not kneading enough or if I need better flour or what!
We had a very popular Halloween parade in the next town, so I stopped trick or treating when I had to march in the parade every year with my marching band. So 7th grade was the last one for me. The parade was always fun, but I distinctly remember huddling around some diesel generator lights for warmth before we…
