I’ve got to have some way to listen to music from my phone. I didn’t have even an aux cord until I got my 2008 Fit, and I could never go back. I’ve never had a vehicle with Bluetooth, so I’m looking forward to that for the next one. Read more

My grandfather was an 80's era Cadillac enthusiast, so there will never be another kind of land yacht for me. Sinking into the plush velour of an ‘86 Eldo. That was luxury. Haha.

Yeah. I used to park in a municipal parking garage with all of the cops and firefighters, and me, in my 2008 Honda Fit, had trouble maneuvering around all of these giant ass trucks parked in two spots and stuck out way into the middle of the middle lane.  I don’t know how any of them actually got in and out of that Read more

I was SO into this show when it was on Toonami, and my tween self was all about it. I remember going over to a friend’s house and realizing that it was the finale episode and completely freaking out over it. Many many years later, I tracked down an uncensored version and rediscovered it, only to find that it was Read more

Turkey is all fine and good in our family, but the noodles are the one irreplaceable part of the Thanksgiving table. Thin egg noodles made with the turkey drippings, broth, and lots and butter. Read more

Sorry, I misunderstood when they were talking about the reverence for him. Haha.

AGREED. Seeing them messing around during the last couple of videos has given me life.

If Spielberg is still hands-on with the writing, this all makes sense. He’s been looking backwards and yelling at the kids to get off of his lawn for a decade or two now.

That’s a no from me. My family is complicated anyway, so I think it’s a good idea to take a year off. My 60 yo parents are in a deep red town, and while they are abiding by restrictions, the people they do have contact with certainly aren’t. My sister’s family has been exposed just because her husband is a teacher Read more

Here in Central Illinois, you get a lot of American muscle. My city has an old Route 66 parade and cruise every year, and between muscle cars and hot rods, there’s not much else (no shade, they are all lovely). My hometown, a few hours south, loves rat rods and hardscrabble restorations of Mustangs of all ages. I’m Read more

I’m not an Apple devotee or anything, but Ted Lasso is the best show I’ve seen in the last four years EASILY.

Same for me. It’s a great eating apple, but in all of my trials (apple cake, apple galette, applesauce) it also holds up really well! I throw a little lemon juice in if I need a little tartness, but otherwise, also a good baking apple!

They also kind of add this to the canon, in that the first suits were all plate metal and such, and the later suits were all nano-tech, so they were able to move and act like a second skin.

My dad grew up in Ottawa, and his sister still lived there, so every few years, we would load up the family van and drive 18 hours north to visit. We always strolled around the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill to get our dose of touristing in. We also once crossed the river to stroll around Gatineau and visit the Read more

I really didn’t give a crap about this show, but my roommate was devoted to it. She did a binge leading up to the final season, which means that I did a binge leading up to the final season.  After what happened with Bellamy, my roommate, who was only hanging on to see it through, completely quit the show altogether.  Read more

Speed Racer (2008) hands down. Cheesy, trippy, and a lot of goddamned fun.
