As dry as my apartment gets in the winter, that might be a feature rather than a bug.

Okay, I’m still in, we’ll just have to build you a proper shop to house everything. Haha.
That sound you heard was my little crush on you evaporating into thin air, darling. Just. How?
YES. This is how my mom would make them every year for our New Year’s Eve party. She didn’t use measurements, of course, but they would disappear immediately. I’ve found that almost any jelly is delicious, including canned cranberry sauce and orange marmalade, but grape is the One True Ingredient. (Note, also great…
I mean, I’m from five hours south of Chicago, but that’s a great question. Haha.
Hey! As an Illinois driver, you should know that we also like to try and beat yellow lights well after they’ve turned red. (But yeah, those Hoosiers, man.)
If you’ve NEVER driven in cold and wet weather before, all of these tips are nice. (Except for the snowbank one. You don’t know what’s in the snowbank.) One that I didn’t see up there is that bridges will freeze faster than normal road, as the cold air is freezing it from the top and the bottom at the same time.…
Agreed, though Krispy Kreme now sells a version that is more than okay by me. Mmmm.
I’m going to argue that it still falls under the categories of layered cakes. A Victoria Sandwich is a cake, not literally a sandwich, though it is cake with one layer of filling inside. Sandwiches imply bread rather than cake.
We don’t recommend it, of course.
This is at the Lincoln Library, the public library of Springfield, not the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, like the story is mistakenly reporting, but we think it’s going to go well! People squirrel food in all the time, hiding it and making a mess anyway, so we’ve approved food-friendly areas. As…
We are planning on getting a coffee cart in the lobby, yes, but we don’t plan on making a profit. We hope to partner with a local organization. (Lincoln Library, the public library of Springfield, not the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, like the story is mistakenly reporting) Thanks for the support!
Yeah, this is a policy at the Lincoln Library, the public library of Springfield IL, NOT the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. I work here at the public library. And this is hilarious. Contact me for more info.
My boy Niall doesn’t deserve to be caught up in this.
As far as the themes of failure go, Wolf’s Rain made me feel similar. Also scored by Yoko Kanno, the human struggle against insurmountable odds gave me that same bittersweet feeling that the end of Cowboy Bebop did. In every other respect, they aren’t really alike, but that feeling is the same for me at least.
SyFy is also adapting Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Boys, and Maggie just posted that she had finished writing the pilot. It was announced a couple of years ago, but I have hope that it will actually be made. And be great.
My friends and I were filming a monster movie at someone’s house in a tiny hamlet way out in the country. My friend wanted to go home, but he had ridden with someone else, so I offered to give him a ride, then to come back for the night shots. Now, the tiny hamlet was situated past some curvy, hilly roads, but I…
I came to second this. It’s not widespread here in Illinois, but my family are all devotees. My grandmother, native to Tennessee, carries a small container in her purse.
I’m looking back through the feed at work, and seeing three David Tracy and three Torch articles in a row nearly gave me a heart attack.
I’ve been really into the Bubly brand lately, especially cherry and lemon. They have more flavor and a good bubble. Sparkling waters all around!
