My sister’s first car was an ‘81 Eldorado given to her by our grandfather. She would pile all of her friends in that rolling couch all at once. 8 would fit comfortably, 10 if you squished. My favorite bit of misuse while riding around with her was honking super loudly as we went over train tracks. Since it sounded

I love a scented candle, but in an apartment, I find that so many of the Yankee and BaBW/White Barn candles I have are far too fragranced for such a small space. Does anyone have any recommendations for a scented candle that’s not overpowering over an hour or two’s burn time?

I CAME HERE TO SAY THAT

100% agree. My last flight, I was sitting in the exit row, far left side, and there is a sizeable gap between my seat and the door. The man behind me was enjoying his extra leg room, and kicked off his shoes, extending them into my immediate vicinity. His formerly-white gym socks will haunt my dreams forever, and no

My 2008 Sport still feels pretty zippy, and it beat some heavily modded snapback-wearing jerks off the line just the other night. It has had its share of issues, (being so low that I have had to replace the skidplate twice in two years, HEAVY water leakage into the rear footwells and spare tire compartment) I’ve

I was 15 before anyone thought to put me behind a wheel. My sister and I would go cruising through the country sometimes when my sister and mom weren’t getting along (which was and is always), just listening to music and hanging out. We were rounding a bend, when we started talking about my upcoming driver’s ed class

I am SOOOOO excited to watch you wrench this one into shape. Just remember, the more frustration for you, the better reading for us, so remember that at 3 am when you are covered in oil and rust.

I had it pretty easy. We had Driver’s Ed through our high school, and I had been out driving with my sister and my dad in the country, so I had some experience under my belt. We would go out in pairs with the instructor, someone driving out, and someone driving back.

I mean, I’ve been raised on the Harley brand since I was a kid. My dad owns a ‘71 Sportster and built his next one from the ground up. There were orange and black accessories throughout the house. I like the styling, I’ve found a couple of younger groups of people who ride. I would ride a Harley.

Hey, if you’re out on the street with a fire extinguisher, and pulling people out of burning cars, I’m going to call it like I see it. Haha.

I was about 12, and my family and I were doing a long road trip from our home in Southern Illinois to Ottawa to visit some family. At one point, we were behind two tanker trucks side by side, just cruising along. My dad, who regularly works with chemicals and such for work, noted that both of them were carrying pretty

So what you’re saying is that you’re a freaking hero, man. Geez.

This was post academic life for me. Working and such. I’ve since moved far away. Though the smell lingers.

Nice. I’ve replaced the skid plate twice in two and a half years in this one, so I thought I’d ask. Haha.

Having lived in the Haute for five years, I can corroborate.

How is the ride height compared to the first gens? My 2008 Fit is a great DD, and regularly gets 36 mpg, but the ride height is so low, I’m going to have to size up to a crossover for the next one. I need to haul stuff and not worry about every dead raccoon or opossum I try and fail to straddle.

Now, if only he hadn’t beaten up his girlfriend, I’d like him more.

I like that they included the gremlin bell. It may be a superstition, but it’s a sweet one. I gave my dad a tiny brass bell for his chopper.

Fuck this thing. Sure, we can look back with perspective and say how it was ahead of its time, that it helped to pave the way for the rise of crossovers, but can we at least all agree that it was the ugliest fucking thing your aunt with the “can I speak to the manager” haircut ever drove?

I had driven my ‘08 Honda Fit an hour away from home, and some friends and I were headed back just in that weird dusk light that is too light for headlights but too dark to see properly. Coming up over a quick rise, a semi had shed a tire right in the middle of the road and there was no missing it. The Fit sits
