There's almost a Hunger Games symbol/mockingjay image there, right? Anyone else seeing that?

I just don't get why someone wanting to something about a problem they have deserves to be frowned upon, that's all.
Er, I'm pretty sure you're me. I love that name for both of those reasons!
"Oh, you haven't heard Kanye's new album? Let me quote it in its entirety!"
I have a driver's license, a car, and am comfortable enough driving myself to new places... if I look up a route ahead of time even though I'll certainly use a gps as well. And turn around a whole bunch. I have no concept of direction when I'm in a car, despite being what I suppose is a technically competent driver.
I get that there are people who aren't into it; I'm more interested in those who enjoy masturbation enough to do it roughly once a month but that's it.
Just curious, how would you feel if the headline went with "pearl-clutching?" I think the imagery the author was going for was prudish overreaction, not "women are hysterical".
Thank you for "you're" truly worthwhile contribution to this discussion.
Er, no, I thought it was pretty clear that I didn't understand why you equated an unplanned pregnancy to carrying through with an unplanned pregnancy. Unplanned pregnancies are one outcome of unprotected sex and that is a fact for both men and women. It is a completly different statement than "you had sex, now you…
well argued!
oooookay if you don't see how you completely altered the comment provided to the hypothetical woman, there's not much anyone here can do for you.
What you quoted: "If you are a man who would not step up in the event of an unplanned pregnancy, then it is your responsibility to either not have sex in the first place or use adequate protection."
What you seem to perceive as the same sentiment directed toward women: "If you are a woman who would not 'step up' to…
I know this is SO not the point but it bothers me when people think they're being clever by spelling something backwards. Like the name Neveah: "It's 'heaven' spelled backwards, get it?" I do not. It even bothered me in my beloved Harry Potter books with the mirror of Erised.
I don't understand being bothered by a movie continually receiving the same criticism. I'm trying to picture someone saying "look, can we just discuss Birth of a Nation without bringing up racism?"
Okay, THAT'S why it's super popular here Iowa) and I'm bewildered that people aren't aware of it/this thread exists. It must be regional.
Komen working in favor of women's rights??
First Iowa reference I've seen on a Gawker site that doesn't involve terrible lawmakers/politicians/people!
"cause" the writer used her own timeline as a reference and she graduated in 1993. Same deal as Superbad.
