Hahaha! Yeah I'm not sure when my parents stopped owning a record player, but all of their old records decorated one wall in my bedroom since I was 15. The last time I came home a good ten were taken from the wall and have moved to our living room :-P

Yeah, that is frustrating. I feel that an asterisk and notation of the edit as a footnote would be the best way for that kind of thing to be handled.

Tyler, The Creator could bond with my childhood-reliving father- who I recently went with to five antique shops in our area before finding a record player he REALLY liked, and now is spending all sorts of dough on vinyl ranging from Scott Joplin to Neil Young to Mumford and Sons.

Fuck to the yes. Came into this thread to post a SitR clip myself.

Ehhh I can kind of understand where they're coming from deleting comments that point out errors (as annoying as the errors are). After the edit is made, people get confused and post a million "what are you talking about?!?! The headline makes sense to me!" posts. The comments should probably be more of a discussion

Yes! Pillars of the Earth! Came here to say he's awesome in that. You must see Any Human Heart (Netflix) if you haven't already; he stars in that with a good several actors from PotE.

Hooooly nostalgia.

My friend posted the buzzfeed link on my facebook a few days ago and I haven't been able to stop staring at it; glad Jez appreciates him too :D

First thing I thought of too lol

I LOVE my last name (maiden name, I'm unmarried). It's short, so I like the idea of hyphenating it with my future husband, and I don't think I'd be serious with someone who wasn't up to discussing that idea or the idea of me keeping it. But I have it because my mom changed her name, you know?

Not sure if this is supposed to be a funny or what, but it's a controversy among medical professionals and parents, not just men who weren't circumcised... I'd say not primarily among those men, even.

I so loved that sentence! That and "Elephant penises are referred to as "prehensile," although it doesn't say in the piece that he picked up anything with it...except, we suspect, a lucky lady elephant." I want to read more of this writer.

There have been numerous articles on this site arguing against the use of the word retarded. I don't think it's wrong in this case to ask for them to be consistent with their stance.

But people have the right to be offended and criticize the speech of others.

Are you really defending "retarded" as a perfectly good word? Also its use goes beyond learning disabilities to insult a much wider range mentally and physically disabled people.

Is she a regular writer? The word struck me as exceptionally out of place on this site, then I looked at the byline and didn't recognize the name.

Anyone else read "menstruating" as "masturbating"?

My argument is that killing a living, breathing child is morally wrong in a way that killing a cluster of cells months before they even have potential of developing into a viable fetus is not.

But why the Macaulay Culkin hair?

"Some mothers decide the don't want their children anymore." How does that relate to abortion? What do you propose those mothers do in that situation that at all compares to the options a pregnant woman faces? What the fuck is your argument?
