I don't know, more realistic doesn't necessary mean better. The problem with realistic shading and lighting is that you loose a lot of color, which was an important part of the game.
It was a fun character but timed so poorly. At the time everything Mega Man was being canned and this looked like further insult.

it still doesn't really have enough exclusives for me to want to jump on it yet. It's really starting to become more and more clear that a decent PC and a Wii U is the way to go this generation.

I kinda wish they brought back exclusive weapons — I love Bowser, but it would be great if characters were (as you say) more than their stat properties. I might actually use different characters if that were the case.
