Nintendo's newly-announced 3DS XL systems are looking sharp (even if they aren't the new version, for whatever reason), and you can preorder yours starting today. We aren't sure how many of these there will be, so if you want one, your safest bet is to order now.

I don't... I mean... why...

This already is amazing. I can see this being used for some amazing things in the future, like bring a 3DS or Vita compatible game in range, and you can design your own map, download to your handheld, and then control a little character to go exploring in it.

Kirby is 8 inches tall.

I remember reading that most sword fighting in general didn't consist of swords clanging together anyway. From what I understood, most sword fighters by necessity had some kind of shield that was designed to deflect blows. The majority of swords weren't made to hit other swords as that would lead to them being

Wind Waker Link had a sister named Aryll. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they used her in the game and "Linkle" could be a title or description rather than her real name.

And you know that one of them is going to be Ganondorf.

Are there more than 4 characters? That's all they showed in the trailer. If the cast is fully rounded out with enough playable characters from the cartoons (which I watched far after I was age appropriate) I would consider this game.

They really need to name this damn game. Super Smash Bros for Wii U is not a game. Super Smash Bros for 3DS is not a game. These are temporary placeholders. Give me something! We've had Melee, we've had Brawl... give us a title Nintendo!!!

I need it. As the name implies, Onslaught is a favorite.

Project M does everything better. I daresay that even after Smash 4 comes out, Project M will still be my game of choice.

Wha...? Mario/Doc is extremely good in Project M. He's so good I believe they'll have to nerf him in the next update. Fireballs/Pills for days.

Because it's a costume from NES Open Tournament Golf. Obscurity + new costume! i personally love it.

I was disappointed until I saw the link and realized it's a very obscure costume from the cover of NES Open Tournament Golf. Obscure nostalgic things are one of my favorite little touches in Smash games.

You are right. It was late and I didn't look closely. I just assumed that it was mega without checking too closely. So... ONE thing in that picture is actually Gen 1.

Technically, NOTHING in that picture is Gen 1. Whatever you see in that picture that looks like Gen 1 is a baby form or a Mega form. Even Mega Kangaskhan. Who looks identical to regular Kangaskhan except the baby is out of the pouch.

...I agree, that one is incredibly stupid.

I'm not sure if this is brilliantly disguised satire, or if you actually believe this. If you do, I think I may have met my opposite on this planet.

Completely agree with everything you said. Except you didn't mention X-2, which was the last FF I personally really enjoyed. Not for the plot or characters, which were both pretty laughable, but the gameplay was fun enough that I enjoyed it. XI through IV were just awful (for me at least).

Now playing

I am referring of course, to the amazing music from Ducktales on NES. Moon level remix entitled: Duck Side of the Moon.

The new Phantom Dust better keep the option to have custom soundtracks. It just won't feel the same without the remix of Duck Side of the Moon playing while I battle.
