Water/Ice hasn't actually been used THAT much since Gen 1. The problem back then was that every Ice pokemon was that combo except Jynx and Articuno so it seemed very prevelant. And Water/Ground also isn't too common. There's only 2 or 3 evolution chains that have it.

Ridley was the same size as Samus in the original Metroid and has been everything from about 3x her sprite size in Super Metroid to a huge winged cyborg in Prime. Bowser is huge in every 3D game. Kirby is 8 inches tall. Olimar is the size of a bug. Mr. Game and Watch is two dimensional.

Ducktales was good. Both Cave Story and Dr. Mario were better; Lyrics fit better, in both, and Cave Story because the music is just amazing on its own, Dr. Mario because the animation is great. This one... pretty okay. I still have the legendary frog song in my head, so this one has a hard time competing.

This may be true in many cases, but Robert Carlyle as Gabriel Belmont MADE Lords of Shadow for me. He just did an excellent job and elevated the game from a average adventure game into a story I cared about.
