I’m torn who to root for because fuck the Yankees, but also fuck the Umpires.

One of the post-retirement benefits negotiated by the MLBPA is that if you like your steroid provider, you can keep it.
A reckless beaning is worse than trucking a catcher, given the circumstances.

We make commitments to players for four years
And all the reporters there will tweet about the irony. And never have the balls to say it to his face.
As a lifelong Astros fan, this has been tough to watch for Jake. He is a stand-up dude who plays hard 100% of the time. He’s a tall, big guy (6’4”, 220 lbs) who is one of our fastest base runners and routinely makes amazing plays in center field due primarily to his speed.
Burner name checks out. Glossing over the fact that you attempt to ascribe the writer’s comments that Marisnick is “ready for this to be over” to Marisnick himself, you’re just factually wrong. He did apologize to Lucroy’s face. From the news reports: “‘I just kind of explained and apologized,’ Marisnick said, not…
I mean, throwing at someone is stupid as hell.
That’s fair enough, but given that Lucroy was concussed and had to have surgery to fix a broken nose, the Astros aren’t likely to receive much sympathy.
I’ve always found the coverage of MMA here to be pretty solid and fair (from Wyman, Nathan, Patrick, etc.). They call shit out when they see it and don’t gloss over the uncomfortable reality of the business, including the terrible way the UFC treats their roster and the media, as well as the dangers of weight cutting…
God bless me with the overconfidence of a mediocre white head coach.
Well I like it!
It’s crazy that in a sport based on head kicks and choke outs the most dangerous part is the weight cut.
Spot on. We can either have some kind of leftist purity tested nirvana or we can have candidates that stand a chance of actually, you know, winning in red states. I look at Joe Manchin, for example, as a moderate republican who has a “D” by his name and is willing to caucus with the democrats to build up their…
If they’re going to insist on writing about politics, I wish they’d hire some writers with the range to actually do it well. Three-quarters of the political takes here seem to boil down to “XYZ sucks because they aren’t AOC” with no understanding of local politics whatsoever.
Seriously. I actually think the way she worded that statement is fairly crafty. She’s not saying “I love Trump”, she’s talking about what people (erroneously) thought they were voting for (lower drug prices, less corruption) which *is* what Turmp was promising. And McConnell *is* opposed to what Turmp promised. It’s a …
Sometimes the writers here come off as living in a bubble.
I don’t need her to be a leftist dream, I need her to be better than Mitch. It’s a pretty low bar. Campaigning in a way that talks to voters she needs to win over, conservatives who have probably voted red their whole lives (or voted southern democrat when that was still a thing) is smart.
