Yeah, no question about that goal being legit.

I know this is not going to go over well, but it seems like soccer translates better to the women’s game than other sports. I can’t imagine watching a WNBA game, for example, but would like to watch the women’s World Cup (but don't imagine most of it will be broadcast on a channel I get)

You guys covering the FIFA women’s world cup?

You know, we see all these videos of amazing goals. Are there amazing goalie saves you can share with us?

Here is the issue I have with this whole thing. Would you force an african american baker to make a lynching cake for a kkk member? How about a jewish baker to make a nazi cake? A pro-choice baker making an aborted fetus cake (10/10 would have a slice) for an anti-choice rally?

If you answer no to either of these, then

I want to preface my response by saying that I absolutely am strongly in favor of gay rights and think that under anti-discrimination laws, a baker should have to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple just as for any other couple. But this wasn’t a wedding cake, it was a cake with a specific message on it saying

Even as someone who is also extremely pro-gay rights, I do think there’s something to the argument that a baker should not be required by law to make a cake that says “Support Gay Marriage,” as opposed to being required by anti-discrimination law to just make a cake for a gay couple’s marriage.

We should be able to refuse any christian or religioner services at all our businesses....It definitely works vice versa!

I respect the fact he doesn’t issue an (non)apology for his beliefs but an explanation of what he said and meant. I can’t say that I agree with him but I understand his position: In my view, this particular matter was not about discrimination, but rather personal freedoms and what constitutes them, including the

He’s backing what he sees as freedom of speech; it’s pretty clear he does not agree with bigotry.

On the men’s side, it feels like the pot system is stacked against us. We tend to be the best team in the worst pot, so we don’t get a draw against teams like Iran or Costa Rica, instead we’re guaranteed a top eight team (unless the host is a pushover, though it’s still almost given to draw a top seven there), a team

Hey, thanks for thinking that soccer fans are smarter than other sports fans.

No one misses the banjo, Matthew Perry. Except for the 404487 people who Favorited your tweet, and me, and everyone else.

Can we not say every team is in the group of death, seeing as all ladies will be playing on artificial turf?

Thank god John Oliver came along before they left.

“El milagro de Amsterdam!”

im torn between rooting for the states and nigeria because of your wonderful article highlighting what the super falcons are capable of. i can’t wait to see what their offense can do and wince at the pressure their defense will be under. i watched the last tournament and the final with my family, japan and the states

Even if you watched the match on ESPN and just came in here to comment, make sure you watch the video (which is not from ESPN). The call of the winning goal is really something special.

That’s the world’s way of saying thank you for getting rid of Blatter. They’ll never let us win again.

There’s an obvious tactical solution to this problem.
