You're obviously ignorant of China's history and don't have the slightest idea of their mindset. China has been repeatedly invaded by foreign powers during the last 2 centuries. First by Europe in the 1800's then by Japan in WWII.

America also has never been invaded and occupied by multiple foreign powers either. (I'm not counting the British).
