I am also (and have been since 2011 or 2012) a Sanders supporter. I do not believe that he’s woefully ignorant of automobiles, just like I hope he is not woefully ignorant with his stance on Nuclear electricity generation. He’s playing to the superduper green crowd that is woefully ignorant on both subjects. It annoys

I’ll agree with Matt Farrah on the Villager being a good minivan for young people. I had one in college and it was fantastic for everything *but* the 220” average snowfall on campus (and even in saying that, I only got it stuck once on a warm day when the hard pack we parked on softened to the point that upon

Most annoying fix: Alternator on a 2001 Ford Escape. It is sandwiched between the block and the firewall, with the subframe and rear head blocking it from the top/bottom. Only way to swap it out is to drop out the engine.

Not on FleaBay, but you HAVE to have this SA RX-7

Hey, don’t mock us pasty motherfuckers. I don’t go outside without at least SPF75 on here in SoCal.

Thanks for the quick response Doug!

That is a very high cost of ownership (considering that you said there were considerable [and regular] repairs).

I know that my E39 Touring has cost me $0.28566/mile since purchasing it in late December 2014 (Gas and Maintenance), and I’ve put 16,469 miles on it in that time.

But I

Could you share your total costs for:

Fuel
Repairs
Oil Changes

Along with total miles driven? I’m curious to see your per-mile cost.

Grumman LLV. I was a temp mail carrier for 2 summers in college.

Man in an E-Series? Psh, amateur.

It has a landing gear. Feet!

Check out the MiataBusa articles on MotoIQ. They have a great explainer for why it’s important on a motorcycle engine, which will help you understand it on a car engine.

Rigid. There’s your problem.

I have the 18V version of this and it has been spectacular. It was purchased to replace my 12V Hitachi (~10 years old, NiCad battery, impact driver only). I assembled my niece/nephew’s playset with the 12V. My dad was working along side me with his new 18V DeWalt. I kept up and my battery

I was referencing the factory-equipped tires because of their age. Sorry I was not more specific.

Lack of proper tires contributed to the accident. IIRC they were running on the factory-equipped tires, which on any car is no bueno let alone a CGT.

Who would buy this? Sure it’ll stop an AK-47 round, but how many will it stop when its air suspension/engine/transmission/electronics strand it?

I believe Cleetus is the proper term to describe Peniswrinkle.

Crack price. Picked up a E39 525iT (sadly with the autotragic) for 8000 in December. SoCal car its entire life. Kicker: 58,800 miles.

I’ll pass on the electronic nightmare and the appalling aesthetics of the Bangle-era cars.

Coming from a former rotary owner: Rotary owners, even more so if they’re N/A. Horsepower of a Geo Metro, fuel economy of a Big Block Chevelle.

Damn they’re fun.

And having internships in Hydraulic Power Steering (worked at Automotive Components Holdings, LLC in Dearborn) in college I know that’s not a likely option, but one can dream, right?
