To be fair, the shot in the goblins' cave was fantastic, as was the moving shot with the eagles. Everything else was garbage, though.

Funny that this so called core right for citizens only exists in the US. Funny that other nations aren't clamouring for the right to bear arms. It's funny how the rest of the world thinks of this as madness.

The gun control surely has to come before the confiscations, though. This is something which will take a while to fix, but it's obviously worth doing.

Not everyone needs to learn slowly like that. If you can understand science conceptually then this is a pointless waste of time.

Every time, people decide to read 'best' instead of 'important' for these articles, and then get all outraged their product of choice isn't here.

The bigitures from LoTR were so much better than this CGI, though. And, besides, if detail is what you are going for, it's not 48 frames which does that: it's using 35mm or (even better) 70mm cameras.

Not only have you replied to a three month old comment, you've said something which isn't really relevant to what I was saying anyway.

Are you serious?

Funnily enough, CGI lacks the first three, and uses the last too much.

Nice and rational explanation there.

It works for every panning scene and action sequence. It doesn't matter for close ups, but the combination of 3D and 48 frames makes EVERYTHING look like CGI, even the real sets. If you can't see that, then of course it is great for you.

Are these real questions? With a category of 'Sex Science Fact' I would at least expect answers which aren't blindingly obvious...

Oh damn, if Gandhi said something about an event which is also hundreds of years old, it must clearly still be relevant today.

A good job they are above water while trying it, then.

That sort of chasm bit to Rivendell was kind of a mind-fuck to deal with the perspective!

Why is every other story here about gifs!?

Why does no other developed country push for this 'right to defend yourself with guns' thing then? Why is it only the US?

The reason is that, unlike cars, almost every developed country on Earth has shown that people neither need guns nor care to own them if there is not already this strange, ingrained, inherited culture about them.

Do you ever wonder why most guns are outlawed in almost every developed country in the world, and the most prominent example of one that does allow their ownership bases it on a 220 year old statement?
