Any idea of the price? Couldn't find it after a quick look on the links above.

Two words: Silent Hill. When I was 17, my best friend would come around and we would take turns playing it while the other one watches (errr... why does the phrase "while the other one watches" have to sound dirty?). We would both dread it when it was our turn to take the controller. The game so freakin' spooky and…
Well, I don't believe he was assaulted. Given his affinity for photographic evidence, he would have shown him getting physically assaulted or taken pictures of his physical injuries afterwards if this did occur. I believe he was recording live video in a private property, which is probably illegal in France. The…
We do not know what he said or did in between getting the food. A very good observation on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/wo1d9/steve_mann_father_of_wearable_computing/c5f0fb9
I think it would have been disgusting of the McDonald's employees to "assault" him, if this indeed did happen. But I don't think Steve was telling the full story. He claims that his camera does not store video, and that the images were recovered from the cached memory of the damaged device. However, if you look on his…
The only advantage I can think of is that it will be easier to "thumb type" on. But I haven't upgraded to the split keyboard on the 9.7" iPad yet so I can't compare. The full width is annoying.
I'm still eager for the debut of a roomba in my life. Waiting a few months until I stop jumping from country to country. Anyone have one? Are they worth it?
We need to stay strong and hold the course on the embargos. It is unfortunate that "artistic liberals" have to be punished for the acts of their governments. But the alternative is most likely air strikes from Israeli, and perhaps aided by the US. They will be bloody. Embargos are the most non-violent solution, and…
On the contrary. Iran is one of the most effective places for embargos because they have a middle-class. The point is to disrupt their happiness so that they put pressure on the ruling elite. Remember, the arab spring didn't fully spread to Iran yet. (well, they squashed any roots of it.) The only legitimacy of the…
Wow. It's amazing how recognizable Mila Kunis' voice is.
.... meanwhile, Adobe gets a ton of free advertising. And Teen Vogue starts using GIMP instead.
It doesn't have to be "24/7". As per the other comments, the profiles of children should be private (restricted to friends only), and the parents just need to approve those friends. This is a few clicks every few weeks.
I'm pretty sure the arguments against "nanny states" are only against government intervention. Parents would like to be in control. The argument that parents of modern children are technologically inept just doesn't hold any more. It may be true of my parents, but I am 15-20 years older than the children at risk…
Too expensive. Plus, you should take one for the team. And by team, I mean humanity!
A great argument in The Economist for parental supervision of children's Facebook accounts rather than banning them altogether. http://www.economist.com/node/21556578 and http://www.economist.com/node/21556628
Why would you need to experiment on the moon? Send a rover to the moon, collect some moon dust, bring it back to Earth, sprinkle it all over your living room. Viola! A thousand times cheaper than sending a man to the moon. To simulate the microgravity, I'd use a large fan to blow the dust around every few minutes.
Yea. For me it's great for .nfo files. ;-)
Well argued here: http://lifehacker.com/5726764/why-the-mac-app-store-sucks .
Does this last after a restart?
I don't know if that's true... maybe the once more part. It's the same for when I play sports (e.g. soccer). If I haven't played for awhile my fitness is poor and uncoordinated. After playing regularly my fitness ramps up and feel for the ball returns (yes, I'm still talking about soccer), then I enjoy the game a lot…
