Do it. I put 18" CH’s on my R after bending two Pretoria wheels within the first three months of ownership. Now, after two winters running 17" CHs on 225/50 Nokian Hakka’s, I’m thinking about dropping down to 17" year ‘round.

Most, if not all, Range Rover/Land Rover variants.

You went off on a tangent with that one.

Oh, to even be lucky enough to have a 1080p broadcast. Most terrestrial broadcasts were 1080i MPEG2. With the transition to MPEG4, Xfinity has decided to broadcast everything—in my area at least—in 720p. Not to mention ABC/ESPN/FOX which have always been 720p. Wet. Hot. Garbage.

Respectfully disagree.

For further evidence of this, see Saul Steinberg’s tongue-in-cheek cover artwork from The New Yorker titled ‘View of the World from 9th Avenue’:

The owner should pony up for a rho plate. It sits much closer to the bumper that that one. It’s the only plate holder that doesn’t make the front parking sensor on my Golf R go bonkers.

Are the seats actually different than the GTI? My ‘07 GTI has nearly 200k (mi not km) and I’m trying to decide between the R and GTI.

In 20 years of driving I’ve gone to below-the-line empty on nearly every tank of gas in every vehicle I’ve owned. I’ve gone through precisely zero fuel pumps thus far. My current car—an ‘07 GTI—has been with me for 165,000 miles. When the MFD shows 0 miles remaining, then I know I’ve got about 6 miles before it’s

AMC’s Rubicon. The slow-burn pacing was exactly the wrong answer for what the network was looking for at that time. If the show aired today, I think it would have gotten a second season at the very least.

I want to know why VW decided 2016 will be the last year the GTI has two doors in the US.

All of the stars.

Let me make you feel young again: I have no idea who/what those people/things are.

Sabine Schmitz must not have got the memo, since she indirectly called Ferrari’s suspension rubbish during her feature on the program. While describing the Corvette Z06 she exclaimed, “...the suspension is terrible, like Ferrari!”

MA Staties are absolute cunts. I drive ~700 miles a week on MA highways. Every day I see multiple troopers doing 100+mph without lights/sirens (i.e., not an emergency situation). Not to mention no headlights in the rain, NEVER signaling to change lanes, tailgating less than 1/4 of a car length away at highway speeds.

Good point. Too bad the behind-the-scenes film didn’t shed any light on the actual preparation of the car other than stuff that broke during the filming.

Could be, but in the second shot the car looks like it’s on an off-camber hill so it might just be leaning a bit to the right
