It's been wine o'clock at my house for a good many hours.

I wore a wool sweater yesterday and a down vest. Froze walking to and from my car - worth it to park the big jacket for a day. I haven't shaved in months because no one has seen my legs and won't for another six weeks.

There was a SIXTY ONE car pile here on Monday because of a freak snow shower/icing thing that happened. My yard is a like a third melted and the rest is covered in a dirt/ice/snow mix that looks like a yeti crapped on it. I used duct (duck?) tape to fix my daughter's snowpants the other day because it is almost

I tried to be all weather defiant this morning - made it to my car in the driveway before I went back in the house for a real jacket. My kids laughed at me.

Maybe she can live one of the Burger Kings that Kanye is going to buy her for their wedding? Clean bathrooms, food, cold storage for the fur collection....

After drinking too much brandy.

What was the response to this? Because that seems to be the big disaster looming here.

That is so lovely. I taught my son how to finger knit and "regular" knit, it helps him calm down and concentrate. Plus we have some great chats while we are knitting - he's less guarded and full of tween attitude because of concentrating on the knitting. I know when my husband and I are having a tense conversation,

Frankly, this is probably one of the best things that could have happened to this little girl. Not only is she not going to be bullied by adults and students alike, but maybe she will end up getting a decent education. And good for those grandparents - sadly, you almost expect people who would opt for that kind of

That is so incredibly shitty. I am sorry for what you endured. There is a girl at my son's school (fourth grade) who has short hair, dresses in "boy" clothes (she and my son have some of the same clothes), and no one gives two shits. It's pretty amazing how far SOME schools and kids have come.

Steak n' Shake is the only one I found that still uses milkshake on the menu. Some have milk as an ingredient, but still use shake. Culver's uses shake, but the ingredients seem to be legit for a milk shake. One night we left a chocolate shake on the counter at BK for too long (wrong flavor or something), it

My Little Pony spoilers? Harry Potter?

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. I like the sense of transition I get from changing my clothes - jammies to work to lounge wear (sweats/yoga pants and the like) = sleep to work me then work to home me.

Oh god the Big Mac people. They were awful. And the people yelling about Pepsi vs Coke. I worked at BK when they switches the name of the whopper jr to "deluxe". People were legitimately confused and angry about that. Oh the milkshake dairy thing is legit. A number of fast food places had to stop calling them milk

There was one about television where Ira discussed his unabashed love of The OC. It was so funny I had to stop listening at work.

Jorts?! Wow. Shorts are about the only thing that's a real no-no at my office.

You could wear those at my office and be considered dressed up. I see people in actual sweatpants.

That trip sounds so amazing. I'm sure it will be a special memory for her. I don't if you're or she are into this but I've started going with my daughter to get manicures. She only six so we don't go too often but she feels like such a big girl and actually sit still and is patient.

My almost ten year son just started the Sisters Grimm series. He likes them. The Percy Jackson books are good - I read them! Also, check out the Mysterious Benedict Society. As for something special, what a special outing when you return? Something that she wants to do just with mom.

He lets our daughter put a fairy crown on him and beads in his beard. He packs all of our lunches almost every morning.
