Yes, I totally agree there are abuses and most states have gone completely overboard on what is a registry offense which have been further abused by prosecutors. I've seen people charged with statutory rape in a number of circumstances - girl lied, man manipulated young girl, girl "consented" but got pregnant,

True, but the registry is easier and faster for law enforcement and other officials to use. Like an index in a book vs. skimming through all the chapters to find what you need. Looking up a criminal record works well when you know who are looking for, but otherwise it can be time consuming and burdensome. And

I saw it work one time and it broke my heart. CPS was involved with a woman and her very young daughter - trying to keep the family together. Then mom's new bf moved in. The social worker researched him as is her job - he was on the registry for molesting little girls. The mom was pissed that she had to "choose"

I did not read it, but someone whose opinion on sexy reading I trust said it was awful and boring and "if this is hot, no wonder people think women aren't interested in sex."

If they are not out of your price range, Lands End, LL Bean, and Hanna Anderson all have great girls' clothes that aren't super tight, pink, or sparkly (for the most part) and are really good quality. Quirky shirts, bright color, dresses with coordinating leggings, etc. My daughter is basically a walking talking

Holy crapballs. I could actually wear this to work. To church. To the store. To parent-teacher night. To soccer practice. Partly because it's perfect. And partly because I would never be able to afford another item of clothes.

Why why why why would someone drink Pepto without a stern authority figure giving them the stink eye unless they do?

"And don't forget to hand over the account numbers and passwords while you're at it!"

Yep. Makes me want to find that forum/web pages and just open my house up to these kids. I can put bunk beds in the living room. We aren't rich but we aren't assholes either.

The pound cake recipe! I really enjoyed that book - especially because of it's departure in structure. And Anne of Ingleside is sweet, too. I love reading about Anne's kids acting a lot like her. And grown up Davy and Dora.

He was really close to being Superman. He's really aging well. The salt and pepper beard is super hot.

This. When the Patriots play in the conference championship game my husband takes the kids out so they don't interupt (1 TV) or learn interesting metaphors to use on Monday at school.

Watch Sons of Anarchy - he can be pretty damn violent and manipulative convincingly.

Get involved in the community. There are usually a lot of things going on in town that students at a college aren't aware of. I went to a small college in a small town in the rural Midwest and that was the case. You can volunteer, join a community group, etc it will really enhance your college experience.

Anything from America's Test Kitchen. I also love old Julia Child cookbooks - the & Company ones are great. You can usually find them at second hand stores. For pure food porn pictures, "the beautiful" series of cookbooks - Italy the Beautiful, California the Beautiful, etc. The recipes are okay but the pictures are

Thanks idiots for spoiling my thoughts of a cold beer today. After this, I am going with wine to wash the taste of asshole and stale coffee out of my month.

Through a USDA problem, my daughter's school district offers every single student a free breakfast. No income verification. Nothing. It is AWESOME. It takes the stigma of having to get a free breakfast away from the kids who would normally qualify. It's great for those mornings when no one's alarm goes off or

I agree. And to malign the lovely Salvia plant this way is just the crap icing on the crapcake. The only shocks I like with my gardening is when something lives through the winter. Or I forget transplanting something and have a little surprise in the spring after thinking I had killed entire bed of something.

He should be so thankful not to be connected to that dreck. And to avoid the inevitable pearl clutching and clucking about an openly gay man in that role.

Me too. He's such an ass. And I find it amusing ( in a bang my head on a table way) that the same people who defend him sure as hell wouldn't defend an athlete or politician who committed the same crime.
