All hail the profit margin. If you can raise prices and people keep paying it, you win at capitalism.

So you are saying on the grand scale they still deprecate further (but slower) than an Mercedes S class.

Also known as fucking in Denver.

1st Gear: YAWN. I’ll be 46 this year, and Harley Davidson has been labeled a ‘dying company’ every year of my existence. I grow tired of reading about it’s ups/downs and expected demise. So much so, that I didn’t bother more than to skim your mention of it here today.

As soon as I saw Heathrow on the list I judged the rest of the data to be garbage and stopping hitting “next”.

First gear:

Sounds like Carvana wants to roll its outstanding debt into new debt, increase their payback timeline so they can have a lower monthly payment. Sounds familiar :)

I own a 90 ZR1. It’s quite a car. I was originally looking at 996's but just never got used to that weight swinging around in the back of the car. I then decided to go with the car that was on the cover of every car magazine for two years when it came out. It’s a very visceral experience just to go through the gears.

. On paper, it would seem like supply is exceeding demand, though, of course, far more people are likely in the market than actually pull the trigger. In broader, more realistic terms, domestic production of EVs — meaning those that qualify for federal tax rebates — is beginning to satisfy consumer interest,

This post leaves the important bits out. From a Dodge press release:

Or alternatively to remotely activate a

Please call it what it is, a station wagon. At no time in the US did we ever call cars “shooting brakes”, “saloons”, or “estates”. When people use the idiom of a country not well known for its quality vehicles (c’mon, we all know it to be true. To paraphrase a certain Mr Stephenson, the British will build a mailbox

I am holding out for a Buick Roadmaster of the “Save the Whales” variety with a V8 ND

I fully agree, but you are not going to get that in the most dense area of San Francisco regardless of this art installation.

I work in the heavy truck industry and we have huge issues with availability of tires. We are constantly validating new sizes and different models of tires since our normal options have run dry multiple times. Also components that require a lot of metal, axles/frame components, seem to be extending lead times and

Yep. I am on Suburban #4 and when it finally gets retired, I will get #5. It does everything you’d need a vehicle to do.

T.L.D.R version: Firefighters can easily deal with EVs

I’m a 35 year veteran firefighter, 13 years as a Battalion Chief, so I know what I’m talking about. EV fires are a concern, but not a huge problem. True, firefighters need to be informed about handling EV fires, but they are a kin to other types of situations we
