They weren’t entirely wrong though. The digital camera was never going to replace their film revenues, and the stand-alone digital camera is pretty much extinct outside of the prosumer and professional photographer market.

First Gear: The unintended consequences of upfitting the Explorer is highly reminiscent of the rear crash fire controversy on the Panther body P-71 Crown Vics a couple decades ago.

I had a Yellow 1976 Firebird with the 350. Soft floors and no trunk. Rabid with rust. Quart of oil every tank of gas, Exhaust came off after a spin on black ice. Always started no matter how cold. Taught me how to control my slides in the snow on a set of no name all seasons. Bought it for $275 and sold it for $350

What is up with the fucking 4 foot beds? I own an old Tacoma with a 6 foot bed and its SUPER useful.... and I use ALL 6 feet of that bed. Anything shorter would be useless. Its like every time one of these small trucks come out, they get it about 75% of the way. Make it a 6 footer? Take my money. A 4 foot bed? What’s

Boomers who buy Vettes don’t like mail-in ballots.

Crack pipe

Guessing he was trying to get in the door and fell on the track and it rolled him right to the front and off, sort of like the nazi in the Indiana Jones III tank battle scene.

Just think how great EV’s will be when Tesla spins off the SuperCharger Network into a separate company, and that new company opens their network to all EV owners.  It really is the part of Tesla that has the most long-term value, and they are going to need that mountain of cash sooner than later.

Are you sure? You’ve already had 3 PMs this year alone. It’s kinda getting hard to keep track.

My dad was a high level engineering manager for the government back in the 70s. One day, he read about how Boeing had had a massive layoff of engineers. He was on a plan to Seattle within a week. He got 2-3 good engineers to come to Washington DC to work for him on that trip.

Reverse: The Britannic actually sank faster than the Titanic. Even though it had been extensively upgraded because of the Titanic.

Overpriced - especially for a mid-80s car with more than 145K miles on the clock.

If I were a betting man, KMX (CarMax) is the only one that can and/or will survive in its current incarnation. They actually turn profits and seem to run a decent business. Vroom, Shift, CVNA and the handful of others will all be in BK court by end of ‘23 but probably by June ‘23. Even if they make it through ‘23 most

Or you can just read the books and ignore what you don’t like

It’s nice, but ND. I daily drive a 1987 Suburban and, while I absolutely love it, nothing from that era is worth ANYTHING like $19,500 unless it’s in museum condition which....kinda totally misses the point of the truck in the first place.

No, the Envision is their compact CUV

What is, I think, misleading about the statistics is that Tesla registrations increased *only* 50 %. They still sell more EV’s than all other competitors combined. It is easier for Ford or GM to increase by 70 % because they sell a fraction of the EV’s Tesla does.

How do you review a car and not know it’s a diesel?

Me too, last of the breed

I am not aware of a single legacy engine company on earth which is working with any of these companies. Airframes are easy, engines are hard. Developing supersonic engines that have a meantime between overhaul that commercial companies can afford will take $Billions. So far, a replacement engine for the F-35 is
