Few things: 1. Is the night sky in NYC even dark enough for this to be seen very well? 2. Dangers to General Aviation activity in the vicinity? I assume it operates at a decent altitude, if they want it to be highly visible to a large amount of people. 3. It’s just, well, lame.

This is a $5,000 ride. Any price higher would need to be a two-tone Bill Blass edition with Turbine wheels. Also, it would need to be continually maintained, not “stored for ten years” then worked over.  I’m not saying mint, just maintained and not stored/ignored.  ND.

Keep an eye on your blood pressure for chronic neck/shoulder pain.  Aside from that, a good pillow.

Agreed.

This is a $1500 vehicle, all day, every day.

This is Jalopnik, don’t use any logic, or get too accurate with your commentary... just read and agree with them that all things are bad in the world and for the world.

I, too, am surprised by the amount of Royal worship here in the U.S. I’m also further amused when people throw out this same comment that you have just posted.  Surely you realize that the modern Monarchy, and the overall structure of government in the U.K., is far different from the one that was in power in the late

Thank you for using the CTS-V Wagon as the banner image. It hauled a$$, and groceries. I miss mine dearly, but the thieves took it from me, and it was only recovered after being well chopped up.   “...look what they did to my boy...” :-(

The Mrs. has us watching the series “To Catch A Smuggler”, and it’s amazing what lengths these organizations will go to, to get illicit substances into other countries. It’s also amazing how much of it is intercepted. The customs and border patrol agents all entry points... be it land, air, or sea, really do a

I know he said prefers a coupe, but I’d consider the last gen Jaguar XJ as well. Furthermore, if you don’t mind the stiffer sport suspension on your road trips, then you can spring for the XJR-model and get the supercharged engine. Serious balls on that one, and quite nimble despite it’s size/weight. I ran my 2014 XJR

The brown didn’t photograph well in the posted pic. In person it really looks good on the car, and I can see some might see mild appeal in pairing those particular stripes. That photos truly is a poor example of his point.

This is true, about the ‘crapcans’, as you call them.  I often find myself noticing more mundane cars, that were once high volume production models, that you just don’t see anymore. Hundreds of thousands produced, then used up and scrapped. When was the last time you saw a Chevy Cavalier, Beretta, or Lumina? Do I want

I’m all for them one day building a new Mriya, but sadly, I doubt that it will never happen.

While a majority of your comment applies regardless of model year (jerk magnet, ingress/egress issues, snow handling, etc...), you do realize this was about the current C8, right? Why make the engine/trans, wind buffeting, and blind spot comments about a completely revised model where you have no idea if they apply?

Everyone in the commentariat crying about the rear drums. You’re aware that many factory/dealer “tow packages” well up into the mid/late 2000's had rear drums, right? Not saying that was a great thing, but it wasn’t all that long ago that a standard 8' bed, 2wd, and rear drums, were preferred by most who towed often.

That part of the Ozarks, from Branson/Springfield area, down through northeast Oklahoma, can be some really fun driving.  Good twisty’s and beautiful rolling scenery.

Shows us something labeled as “may be the prettiest”, then gives us the worst possible photo angle to show it from. Honestly, the photos used for all these slides are atrocious. Lazy lazy lazy, both whoever put this together and whoever approved the copy.

Agree.  It’s just a car that flat out hasn’t aged well.  I don’t think these will ever be the high-dollar collector that most jalops thought they would become.

My previous DD was a 2014 Jaguar XJ-R. The key fob for it was far and away heavier, than ones for any other vehicles I’ve ever owned. It truly does make you feel some sort of way, and that way is better. Heavy fobs for all!!!

Which is good, because that allows the cargo area to actually be useful.
