It’s had a couple graphically enhanced ports, and that’s it. You could call it a remaster if you want, but when it comes down to it, it’s just a port.

They’ve remade exactly two games in the series, namely RE1 and RE2. Everything else has been a port. Sometimes an enhanced port, but still just a port, all the same. But yes, with the success of the RE2 remake, an RE3 remake utilizing many of its assets does make sense.
