Perhaps this show was part of a package deal? Probably not since it’s a new show, but that was pretty frequent in the early days of localizing anime. And the debacle Central Park Media/USMC suffered through with Minna Agechau (which they were going to title I Give My All) around 1991...if anyone at Funimation still…
So my understanding is nearly all anime production is done up to the last minute, which would mean any notes that came up for licensing would have only been based off the manga source material and whatever given plans were at the start, which could change with ongoing production, which could mean an idea stated in one…
Gamers still only recognize two genders:
On the other hand, don’t demand that a developer change or edit their game after release to align with your politics and get riled up when they don’t want to.
This is a pretty weak excuse. They should just own up to it. Alternately, if they’re going for the lore aspect, since the playable characters are from military contracting companies it would be pretty easy to say “the companies don’t hire women for combat roles”. I wouldn’t be surprised if IRL military contracting…
And articles like this help me make an informed decision about which developers I support.
Apparently.
Why? Do these guys think they need to add boob physics?
Also means they have more control over the price of new games, since they don’t have to worry about retailers needing to move stock.
No disc drive = no used games, which gets all the game publishers drooling.
As somebody who buys almost exclusivly digital titles I don’t get the push to remove the disc drive. You’ll cut about $25 off the price which isn’t massive savings when it comes to a $500 system. Eventually the disc drive will die, but there’s no reason to jump the gun.
Okay Boomer.
OK Double XP. Extremely excellent visual reference. “Stadia! Release my buddy!”
It’s a bummer regardless. Facebook is a terrible, shitty company with horrific business practices. This is a huge loss to the gaming community.
I’m happy for their job security, but it sucks that they won’t be able to put out another PSVR game from now on.
It says “continue to work on Beat Saber across all currently supported platforms”, buy I agree with you. I have a hard time believing Facebook is going to let them support the most popular VR games on other platforms.
Ah, fuck. This won’t end well.
That’s a potential bummer for those of us who don’t use Oculus.
