RIP Battleborn. RIP Evolve.

Today I learned that Battleborn hasn’t already been shut down, as I had previously assumed.

I agree with that recent Freddie Prinze Jr. video that went viral a few weeks ago. SW video games have screwed up a lot of people’s understanding of the force.

I get to write about video games for a living, have cheap rent (thanks Kansas!) but also have fast internet because I live near Kansas City.

Force pulling stormtroopers and stabbing them through the heart also feels a little dark sidey, but it gets the job done.

“I don’t want politics in my games” is, in of itself, a political statement. If Kotick says he doesn’t want politics in the games Activision-Blizzard makes, consider why he doesn’t want you to think about policy in the games his corporation publishes.

My parents would always take like one thing away from me at a time. No xbox? ok I’ll play games on the computer. No computer? ok I’ll play games on my game boy advance. No game boy advance? Alright I’ll just watch TV. No TV? Alright I will literally just sit here.

Video games are also a big way to reduce violence and rebellious attitudes.

Your mom probably didn’t have the technical know-how or power to track your every waking moment online or utterly prevent you from accessing the internet via a Real-ID or state-mandated law.

My mom limited me to two hours a day of video games and/or TV too.

This Victory has been sponsored by Tencent and the chinese goverment.

Announcing that they’re revoking Blitzchung’s suspension would be a good start towards showing actual remorse.

Notably, Blitzchung’s 6 month suspension still stands.

Every gaming company, every soda company, every fast food company, every ... It’s actually easier to list companies who don’t support China.

man I forgot about the layoffs, I really hope people haven’t already forgotten Blitzchung either :/

If this drowns out the clusterfuck year Activision-Blizzard has had I will be more disgusted than I already am. Seriously, fuck Activision’s executives

Just play The Outer Worlds, it’s better anyway.

It looks fine, for a CG anime, though I still think traditional animation (maybe aided by CG in the effects department) would look better. My main gripe is, that the Major looks indeed too cute for the kind of character she is (in the movies and SAC). I’m curious what they will do with that fact. It could be used in

I don’t mind 3D, but I agree this looks really generic, like a game cutscene. Then again, after the Netflix Saint Seiya and Ultraman shows, does it surprise anyone?

Probably made in China
