Ditto to this. My live-in fiance and I slept in separate bedrooms at my parents house until we were legally married. It was never a big deal. Their house, their rules. I was actually super uncomfortable the first time I visited his parents, because they had ONE bedroom ready for us.

That's where I am with it. When my bf visits he sleeps in the guest room, and I sleep in my childhood room. I wouldn't feel super comfortable having sex in either bed (I slept in one as a kid and my grandparents sleep in the other when they visit, not exactly H O T)

Yeah, this seems more along the lines of normal. It's one thing to be open and honest about sex and boundaries with your child and a whooole 'nother thing to supervise conjugal visits.

This is how it works at my house when I am visiting (I don't live at home), and I am in my mid-20s. It just makes everyone more comfortable. No one minds that I'm sexually active but it's just too weird if my parents were to be "cool parents."

Cooked garlic has its uses, of course. I wouldn't sock a bunch of raw garlic into, like, Sunday tomato sauce or something. But, pesto benefits from the sharpness of the raw stuff. It's better this way.

1. She seems to have a pretty sweet life, so no judgement here.

Can I ask a (somewhat snarky) question to smokers? A lot of smokers I know would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER throw a piece of trash on the ground. They would hate the people who do it, they would pick it up, they would talk shit.

I laughed so goddamned hard at the title of this piece. I could just HEAR Crissle saying "Stop playing. You know you lying." accompanied by some major side-eye.

Honestly from where I'm sitting it feels like at least 40% of white Americans are still at the point of happily admitting they don't have any black friends.

Wow, it would be cheaper to just rent an actual storage unit and live in it, with the side benefit of never, ever meeting this lovely couple.

It's only hypocrisy if you're a flaming idiot, bro.

You're about as dry and interesting as a cracker.

No, the point was that "bro" is somehow a racially-specific term, which it is not. If I decided to call a group of black guys "potatoes", would that make "potato" a racist term? No.

Man, you dragged the bigots out here Cord.

Fighting bigotry pointing out hypocrisy.

I'd say that last tweet was pure gold, but I'd hate to remind her of such a sore subject.

Yes, this. A child who has been sexually abused may go on to exhibit inappropriate behaviours with other children or adults, but they are still unable to consent. In that eventuality it would be even more important for her guard to be a responsible goddamn adult and not take advantage of her.
