Oh, I adore this movie.  ADORE.  I’ve seen it a million times because both parents love it.  My mom saw it in the theater and was laughing at shit no one else was, as she is Brooklyn-born Italian and always says she “grew up in that house.”   (One example was the scene when Loretta says she’s getting married, and

This.

I never had one regular because my mom never did either, and she taught me how to shop.  One had better produce. The other had a better deli counter, a third had a better selection of other items.  Plus, you had to keep an eye on sales and coupons.  I still practice this - I split my time between two different chains

Yeah. If I’d written that show, it would have been “Jane the Plaintiff.”  I couldn’t watch the thing because of that storyline - it’s so horrifying.

When I was 13, my mom got pneumonia and wound up in the hospital for a week, which finally made her and my dad quit smoking for good.

My grandfather had horrendous emphysema, and smoked until nearly the day he died. Every time he lit up, all I heard was That Cough.

It certainly kept me away from cigarettes.  My sister,

MAY HAVE?!

My locals are New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library.  Both have world-class collections with a dizzying array of materials that you can access.  BPL often plays younger sibling to the dazzling reach of the NYPL, but it’s no slouch.

She has an intimacy teacher? She’s taking lessons in how to relationship?

Okurrr.

I physically recoiled just now.  I can’t imagine what that was like to witness.

I get that everyone is hype for Rocketman right now but this is a bridge too far.

Dude did a heroic amount of hallucinogenics in the 60s and 70s.  So this is not surprising.

See, I thought this was getting into the best way to reheat a burrito.  But this is also astonishingly brilliant.

Oooh, I did the same thing.  It was not fun.   I wasn’t sure if I was making connections or seeing shadows after awhile.

Oh, without a doubt - but the author was talking about how much better and safer they felt in Georgia, so I felt like that was worth singling out.

Georgia also just passed a bullshit anti-choice bill.  I mean, it’s not as bad as Alabama’s, but it’s pretty bad.  They’re not off the hook completely either.

Wow, what kind of benefit package does hell offer? I mean, just curious.

That’s only for you to decide.  (FWIW, I’m not sure I think so...)

So I’m guessing you don’t eat meat or wear leather if you think killing is so completely wrong?

Also, at that stage of development, the zygote/blastocyst can’t live independently of the womb, so it’s not anything yet.

What you really want to kill is a woman’s ability to make choices regarding her life and her body.
