Good question. I am already married to a child, hence the horse is to raise. Hey-o!

Is this a film that slogs the same tired ground I have to hear about every goddamned day about being in your late 30s and struggling with having a kid or not? I guess I'm not the demographic, since I bought a horse instead.

'Crucible' was meh. It had a really strong start and then it kind of went in 400 different political and strategic directions. I think Novik has kind of let her storyline unravel and the initial zing the first couple of books had has gotten lost. It was fun, however, having it be much more Temeraire-heavy - less

However, you're right, it is a copy. I'm an art teacher and my superpower is I can always tell when someone's done a drawing from a photo. However, I can also tell that dude has mad illustration skills, even as a kid! Almost as mad as 'Burroughs' Chabon. ;)

Man, DARPA and Boston Dynamics are really hauling ass on the roboanimals, aren't they? TAKEOVER IMMINENT!

AHAHAHAH touche!

The actor, whats-his-face, aka Tim Riggins from 'Friday Night Lights.' It's not his fault, he's from Canadia. ;)

He always sounds like that. :)

Truth. And attempting to force a story where there clearly isn't one is just going to result in a bad movie. How about those kids redirect their energies into making their own film with their own story instead?

AHHHHHHHHNOOOOOOOOO. First Eiko and now McQuarrie. The legends who inspired my life, gone to the great gallery in the sky.

Agreed!! Those forms are beautiful.

NEEDS MOAR DRAGONZ PLS.

Okay, nicely done! (Even if Katniss appears alarmingly bodacious in that outfit)

WHAT?!

Eiko needs to find another director to hitch her wagon to. She keeps working with Tarsem because he clearly lets her run wild with her amazing designs, but his movies are so blegh; she deserves better.

Yeah the first two are really frankly the bestest. Anyway, those are the ones we all hope will get turned into 300 million dollar movies by Peter Jackson with giant naval battles and rad dragons and posh accents and steampunk outfits. Fingers crossed!

I just read the new Temeraire - it's not so hot, unfortunately.

I'm one of the four people on the planet who laughed like a hyena all the way through that film. "Pastry? Goin' beggin!"

A teacher who looks like Scott Speedman would last about 6 weeks at an all-girls' boarding school. I remember we had a super hawt young prof at Wellesley who made it an entire year before bailing out. Students would stalk him at his house and leave dirty love letters in his office, poor guy.

Well, you may need to step to the left again, which you can look up on the Interwebs if you need a proper definition, and read this article which you must have missed in your research on Collins:
