Maybe Duel just didn’t have the same peaks as some of the other movies. It was a steady burn — hell, it was practically a silent movie other than the sound effects — more than injecting sudden bursts of action around plot points like the other movies did.

Exactly what I came here to say!  Maybe it’s me, but for some reason people want to just bypass this movie.  

Where the heck is Duel? The whole movie is a car chase.
