Our Altima was driven very conservatively, first by my mother, then by my wife. I purchased it from her after the first CVT replacement (which was at 30-40K under warranty). I figured it might just be a fluke, I found out too late, just after 61000 miles (and out of warranty). 

Design a CVT that lasts more than 30,ooo miles and we’ll talk.
