I live in Toronto, and the Toronto Zoo has been doing some really great polar bear commercials and ad campaigns.

I have a years-old pair of HD 555's which aside from appearance seems to be the exact same thing as the HD 558. The specs are exactly the same, so it doesn't look like they actually did any improvements from what I can tell.

@Obsidian: Yay! I finally got my star!

As far as I can tell, there is only one of me on this planet (or at least on the interwebs).

Well, since it's completely analog, at least it won't ever BSoD.

I only read the first paragraph and I feel as if I have been somehow infected by his total ignorance and I already feel stupider. Shit, "stupider"... see what I mean?

@jamjen: HAHAHA! Good one!

@aThingOrTwo: I didn't say OS X *was* Linux, I said it is Unix based and is related to Linux, like cousins twice removed rather than siblings.

@adhir: I don't think Picasa is open source and Ubuntu by nature requires all included software to by open source as well. You can install closed source software as well, but you'll have to do so manually as it won't be bundled with Ubuntu.

@tinkerer13: You probably are already using some form of Unix/Linux and not know it. Running a router? Firmware powered by Linux. Running a smart phone? Probably Linux as well. A Mac? Well, that's Unix, but it's related to Linux.

@pseudocubes: Just do an upgrade, duh! It's not Windows where it takes a shit every time you do an upgrade without a fresh install.

I'm amazed by how bright the stars appear without the atmosphere, something a normal city slicker like myself doesn't normally have the opportunity to enjoy. I'm amazed by how razor thin the atmosphere is and by the twisted ribbon of the northern lights. This little blue planet is an amazing place.

Looks a bit like Art Nouveau. I'd like one of these if I were rich.

Why not make a magsafe headphone jack? No holes! (Apple, consider this my official resume, I can start next week)

*Imagines moving a piano with same concept*

@warsaw_andy: I have a knife on me at all times to fight off ninjas.

It all depends on what kind of work you do. Higher pixel count is good if you do the kind of work that requires a lot of screen real estate, not so much if you are running basic office applications.

Pour chips into bowl. Problem solved!

Shenanigans! How long is it going to take you to put that together? Where did the handlebars go? Don't tell me you somehow fit those curlies into that bag.

Shopping at MEC (mec.ca) they used to have compostable bags (or you could forgo the bag completely and they would put a $0.05 donation towards an environmental cause). They weren't particularly crinkly.
