I went to HEC. If you are using the MBA to change careers, the best advice I can give is to go to a top school or you will be wasting your money and time. if you don't have work experience prior to an MBA, most employers won't take you seriously. that's why the better schools have work requirements.

$9000 for an R4 is actually quite reasonable. on Hemmings, the cheapest 2CV is over $12k, and the R4 is a much better vehicle to live with.

And what does it say about an employer that posts jobs or does interviews in the last week of December?

last summer, I was interning for a French company. I was running late in the morning, so I messaged my coworkers with "Je suis tard". The response: "I think you meant 'je vais etre en retard', you retard."

If you go to London Business School, Oxford, or Cambridge you would be fine in the US. Any of the others, I'm not sure. European MBAs tend to do a poor job at marketing themselves to American employers.

as someone who went to a European MBA program and tried to break into automotive, I can give this advice: in Europe, car companies generally don't care about MBAs.
