I don't really think this is TV-worthy, but I imagine far fewer people look at a picture of a bloody placenta or your kid's poop floating in a toilet and think "I'm so glad I saw that, I feel so much closer to them!" than "Ick. Nast."

I can't believe I'm going to say this but... I'm with Good Morning America. This is not ok. Or at least, not without some sort of warning. As a woman I don't want to see these images. If they started showing up on my twitter feed I would not be happy. In fact, just scanning through this article made me pretty unhappy.

don't care about the nudity stuff but placenta is borderline gore pics. I can understand if people are grossed out. some people don't like surgery pics or cyst bursting

No, I don't agree with this at all.

Three days later they abruptly quit their jobs—he worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant, she as a checkout girl at a grocery store

When is this "problematic" bullshit going to die. Everything in life is problematic to someone. Just say what you think the problems with it are and let's have a discussion instead of this vague bullshit trend word.

I have to say, this is frustrating to read. I've had doctors lie to me and my wife, and I wouldn't have known it if I hadn't read up a bit. I understand a doctor being irritated if at people walking in who have diagnosed themselves with fibromyalgia, or gluten sensitivity, or lupus, or whatever. But "be less informed

What about self-diagnosis via other sources?

YEH FUKK ALL THOSE CASUALZ WHO DONT HAVE MY MAD SKILLZ

Here's an idea! Don't sell plain t-shirts for 40 dollars a pop.

Buying this hat for $10,000 would have been a more worthwhile investment than those Lena Dunham photos.

Ok so you believe comments disappeared you just think it was a coincidence that the ones that disappeared were the ones along this line? Or am I completely misreading you? I know Kinja messes up and all but it's been pretty well behaved today. It also stretches credulity a bit that it just so happened that the

I honestly think pissing off their readership is half the purpose of Jezebel

I am not faulting Burt, more the site in general. Burt is great. I think the writers are great—Dunham-gate was not so great.

Jezebel's new editorial policy when covering events that reflect on them unfavorably is to gloss over by omission (see also the unfortunate series of events surrounding #solidarityisforwhitewomen).

When this was first posted I can verify that comments like this one were disappearing. I read them and then refreshed to see if there were new comments and that one was gone. They may have given up at some point, but certainly some comments disappeared.

Jezebel's editorial tone has taken the oddest turn in these last few months. It certainly doesn't seem like a community where women are able to critique or disagree with the content. And it takes so long for my posts to be published - if ever - that I lose interest and move on.

This. I'm getting a gigantic headache from the hypocrisy of this fucking website. I don't even like 'Girls'! I think Lena's got nothing to say! But Jezebel is driving me straight into her arms, gotta say.

How is it possible that you don't mention the substantial conversation on Jezebel? It's kinda like when my sister thought if she just went mute if caught doing something naughty as a kid it would go away. Sammy, did you hang moist bread in the kitchen cabinets? :::Crickets:::

Honestly, after what Jez did to her in regards to Vogue....I have more respect for her anyway.
