Lindsay Ellis has an excellent three-part YouTube documentary on the subject (A Long-Expected Autopsy, Battle of Five Studios and The Desolation of Warners), although it doesn’t quite cover all the bases and, for legal reasons, there’s a few logical conclusions that can easily be reached but she doesn’t spell out.

I enjoy Ranni’s ending because she’s the only one that wants to actually change things while everyone else wants a different flavor of the same broken crap that clearly wasn’t working. It’s clearly meant to be the most hopeful and possibly scary (change is scary) ending especially given the extra care devs took for it

Not bitching about something is not the same as supporting it. I don’t give a good goddamn about the show one way or another, but the “we don’t need this” crowd is even more annoying than the blind support crowd. We get it, you don’t like things, the producers of shows on Amazon Prime or Netflix or whatever don’t care

Here’s an idea.  If you don’t need it, don’t watch it.  We don’t *need* any of this shit.

It’s just that rationally you should be able to understand that in the long run it’s cheaper.

Alan Moore is rolling in his coffin.

Fuck off.

You shoud’ve been one of the 5.

And you’re a creepy misogynistic fuck, but I’m at least the fifth person to tell you that today.

To all the greys insisting that her *other* career is how she should be identified:

It’s not like rage and overreaction is the thing people like him feed on and rely on to remain relevant!

It would be very funny if the only reason Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard was because they want to put out a new Starcraft.

There are two really good reasons to disable automatic updates: Data loss and data corruption.

You really can’t turn this around into ‘perhaps it is u who are petty’ - the guy gleefully harassed and targeted minorities, and much of his anguish was that his website matured (to a degree) while he didn’t. The Something Awful website bankrolled his entire lifestyle even as he grifted and complained server costs

“If you have a problem with our communication, ask for a refund”
“okay, refund me then
“UGH PRIVILEGED CHILDREN”

Counter suggestion: let people enjoy things.

WWE are shooting themselves in the foot by cutting so many talented wrestlers that had the potential to be a huge in 4-5 years.

Large companies are no longer interested in making merely SOME of The Money (TM), they are exclusively interested in making ALL of The Money (TM).

Anything that doesn’t accomplish that singular goal is at risk of termination.  Steady, mild success is seen essentially as failure.
