I read the linked story about the initial discovery by Bo Thidé and was kinda sad to see that even in the science community people are being assholes in comment sections, he is being called a fraud and others are somehow saying that if Italians make a scientific discovery then it is fake (i am obviously missing a

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks!

What exactly happened with the rope and the door? I just saw some object fly towards the window but it wasn't clear what it was or what it was supposed to do.

Yeah, the Gawker sites and the people who read them seem to be a generally liberal bunch, i can't remember ever seeing a homophobic comment here.

I am sorry to be the old grumpy man here, but is this really the kind of thing Gizmodo should be reviewing? Will there be regular stories about the best drug paraphernalia?

As much as i hate both Marvel and DC using gay characters and weddings as a sales gimmick, the fact is that they do it because a large part of the world find it surprising that someone is gay. In a perfect world everyone would shrug their shoulders at a characters sexuality and these kind of events would stop.

Kraken is by far his most opinion-dividing book, all his other work is generally liked, but Kraken seems to be a love it or hate it book, with the majority not liking it (based purely on online opinion). Personally i didn't like it at all, and was very disappointed.

If you like science fiction i would recommend his newest book, Embassytown, it is standalone and one of his best novels. The thing he is famous for are the Bas-Lag books, which are fantasy/horror/weird fiction genre, you don't have to read them in order, but i would recommend trying Perdido Street Station (his best

The Green Lantern animation looks super cheap, but GL is one of the few DC characters i like, and i didn't know this cartoon existed, so i will check it out.
