All valid. I'm definitely not arguing that it's good for you to fight MMA. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy between saying boxing is ok and MMA is appalling. There are certainly a ton of terrible things that can happen to you but the repeated blows to the head really is minimized compared to boxing and football.
Fair enough in regard to certain bars. I think it also depends a lot on where you live. I used to live in upstate NY near where Jon Jones is from and many big fighters have trained so a lot of people have gotten really into it the last few years.
Characterizing MMA fans as Ed Hardy worshippers is kinda like characterizing The Dark Knight fans as comic book nerds at this point, right? I mean, the sport is pretty mainstream now.
People react with disgust to the blood and broken bones and swollen faces but the two things about those injuries are that (1) they actually SHOW you the damage that is taking place which can often lead to the fight ending before something really devestating happens and (2) those injuries all actually heal. Now that you've owned Baseball and Politics, what is the next subject that you think can benefit for more of this type of analysis? Anything surprising you plan on covering/forecasting in the future?
I do think the "Stick to Sports" people represent the masses though. LBJ has something like 6.5 million followers. Why should he care if even 1,000 of them don't agree with him politically. It's his life, let him tweet how he wants and either follow or don't follow based on what you want to read about. There are…
No if you want to hear about what he thinks of a BBall game watch the press conference. The whole point of following someone's twitter is to get a glimpse of their real life including their opinions on culture, lifestyle, and even sometimes politics. If you are trying to use Twitter to escape things like politics I…
I fucking love that Harlem World album.
Are you sure that last e-mail wasn't addressed to Marc Maron? It had to be, right?
Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
Fair enough.
