You can do it sir. Take some time to brush up, and believe in yourself.
I don’t even know who this person is, but at some point, you kind of earn the benefit of the doubt. I agree completely.
Yes, I’m sure entirely white police forces would work better. In a situation like this one, refusing to become a part of the solution only exacerbates the problem. We need vastly more women and people of color on the force, not to shame the few we already have. Do you think the police will just disappear one day?
Approval voting. It’s called approval voting.
The overhead is way bigger than you initially think. I used to be a big proponent of ranked choice until I read an article that really got into the details of how it would be implemented. It sounded like an administrative and logistical nightmare. Also keep in mind, we’d still have primaries, and run-offs don’t happen…
Ranked choice is better, but it has a huge administrative overhead. There is a simplified form where you just provisionally vote for everyone you’d be okay with in no particular order. This solves the administrative problems of ranked choice, and also has a few more benefits besides.
I think you made a mistake, that’s just a random assortment of wooden dowels.
What is a succulent?
Oh, sorry, no. But I’ve been there, and I get it.
Sorry, I was a little too terse to make my point well. That’s actually what I meant by the ‘scapegoating’ bit. You point at the outside for how you feel on the inside, but ultimately the problem you have is entirely inside.
Pardon? I don’t understand.
Advice for #2: read a history book and get a little perspective. You're scapegoating current events as an excuse for inaction. Source: you're talking to the master.
You could definitely start now. One thing EVE does pretty well is make sure there’s useful things people can do at all skill levels. You won’t be flying dreadnoughts on day 1 (or even day 100), but you can definitely contribute to a corp or even go your own way. Also, there are myriad player-run support structures in…
Me too! I turned my fascination with human biology into a successful hat-making enterprise!
Jesus, people are still talking about T20?
It depends on the situation. I’m just saying too many people concede before the game is really decided, just because they’re in a bad situation or an unfavorable matchup. Especially if you play official events, you can’t afford to concede games that are even 10% winnable. You have to learn how to squeeze wins out of…
Please note the disclaimer, “you shouldn’t concede a game that isn’t actually lost. You’re not doing anything with 2 land in that situation, etc. I’m just saying too many people concede too soon. You see the same thing in chess.
Yeah this is silly. You should never concede a game that isn’t actually lost. Sometimes even if you think you lost, you either come back and win, or learn things about your deck you didn’t know that may allow you to win in the future. Once, at a prerelease event, I actually had an opponent with a winning board state co…
