While the proper kind of fire extinguisher would have definitely put the fire out quickly, the owner should have really thought about installing a fuel cutoff switch with an engine/blower that size. That would have ended the flames real quick

@maximum-sienna: My thoughts exactly. And if the Castrol GTX commercials are true, apparently you can drain the oil from your engine and run it at full throttle on a dyno for a few min without having the engine blow. If this is true, then you could theoretically do an oil change while it's running.
