I'd imagine the goal is mostly just to get people on Origin so they can sell them more games. Fastest way to get a wider audience on Origin is to get more and more varied games onto Origin.

The flat ones will basically accept any skimmer slipped over the slot. The more funky protrusions and custom designed pieces of plastic, the harder it is for a skimmer to be made to appear natural.

Because the flat ones are the easiest to put a skimmer on.

Have one as well, and the one positive for first-timers is its a manual, so at least they'll learn how to drive stick.

Having been here for 5 years as well, I'm going to agree 100%. It's really amazing to me how after 3 days of sun the lightest sprinkle sends the people on freeways into complete mayhem. Or snow on the side of a completely clear freeway.
