FWIW, we sold our 2009 Subaru Outback in early 2012 due to underside chassis rust that was verging on structural failure within a couple years, so it’s not just a Kia thing.

I’ve been impressed with just about every part I’ve seen and touched on the Soul.

The red is nice. The brown is pretty good looking as well. I’d like to see a lighter brown and British racing green exterior if this is going to be a GT car.

It is indeed a good car. I helped my grandmother pick out a then-new 2014 Soul Plus w/ Nav, also green, and she loves it. The step-in height is just perfect, and it’s nothing like the penalty boxes of yore. I also think it is handsomely styled.

The quality of the plastics was atrocious. Literally so bad that you could snap it by just looking at it.

Yeah this has been a huge concern of mine as a fan with a small child. I think at a certain point you just have to sacrifice those great seats in the interest of safety until the kid is old enough to wear their own glove and pay attention.

1) Yankees are at fault for not extending the netting. It’s the obvious and right thing to do.

Obviously, I can’t confirm these figures, and there are studies showing that current EVs are cleaner than current ICEs even if electricity comes from a coal plant. But Mazda’s point is a good one.

This is misleading information, at best. This graphic from the Union of Concerned Scientists really brings it into focus.

The E-Type most definitely had glorious straight six engines - 3.8 and 4.2l options. Stef should receive 40 lashes for such an error, what is this, a craigslist BMW ad?

No need to nitpick. It’s not like this is an auto enthusiast website and the E-type is a car well known by auto enthusiasts...

I’m pretty sure the E-type had a straight six, not a V6 engine.

They should follow the guidelines handed down after a scientific study of likelihood of floods in that area. There will be another 500 year flood in the next ten years, because climate change is a fact instead of needing more research to be proven.

It’s silly looking, but I like the looks. And it’s a lovely car to drive. I rented one for a weekend in LA. Super quick and fun to toss around turns. The interior is surprisingly big and very airy. You feel like you’re driving a greenhouse. I also like the interior a lot. If I moved to a city where I had to drive, I’d

Yep,

Embarrassing to be seen in? Are you a middle schooler being driven around by your parents? It is quirky and different in a see of vanilla hatchbacks and crossovers. Guess I have just never given that much thought to appearances with my car. Interior and driving experience are what matters because it is what I see

So, you’re saying you like it, right?

I really think the i3 has the coolest interior of any electric based vehicle and is top 5 in current production cars.

I feel like I’m confessing when I say that I like how the i3 looks, or even just that I like the i3.

I like the i3. I wish a lot more cars did the opening panels the way this, the RX8, and whatever that one Saturn was have done it. I like the size of its footprint. It’s eleventy-billion times better looking than a Smart or Scion iQ.

I think it’s biggest failing is that the core group of people who would want this,
