$200k, faster than a million hp Audi, track days... damn I was going to suggest a Maserati....

Glick’s SGC could have been in a position to win it all but some minor collision took out the left headlight, which then took almost 20 minutes to fix in the pits. Amazing racing, like a 24 hour sprint broken up by 20 pit stops.

10 hrs in and Glickenhaus’ car is running 2nd ~3 minutes behind leading 911 GT3. Go Glick!!!

I’ll SHO you one of my favs (ex -89 owner)

Alfa P33 stradale body would go nicely on an elise chassis

ok Jalopers hands up if you’ve got a minivan!

Last month I bought a Gear VR (2017 model for $60 off amazon) and have been enjoying the hell out of 3D YouTube vids and a number of games (dead and buried, Overflight, Flightwings, Poker VR). Tempted by the Quest for its 6doF and higher res screen vs my Galaxy S8 but if it had a larger FOV (similar ~100 degree as

My buddy Jochen snapped some good pics of this awesome achievement

lol yeah strong chance of me and my bro being pistonheads :) My dad is indeed one cool dude. Not only because of cars. Very lucky.

yes, at least one.   He bought the car with the 350 already installed. Supposedly the original I6 bent some valves, hence the swap.  Drove pretty well.  Lighters, more power, plenty of room in the engine compartment.   Did lose some of the British charm however..

NP, if only because brown jags have a special place in my heart. Dad restored an E-Type in the late 70s and painted it a metallic Cadillac Brown. He also had a couple XJ6s, one with a Chevy 350. Classssssay. Here’s a video of his reaction to finding out the E he restored still existed, and was about to receive a full

Good thing his car had decent brakes.

some of my favorite laps of the Nordschliefe (out of ~300 total, in various cars from Opel Speedster - the best - to all sorts of non-M BMWs, Audis, VWs, Mercs) were behind the wheel of a Smart Roadster.    Even with the gearbox that everyone loves to bash but is actually not that bad they are brilliant and I can’t

Hey at least it looked pretty good!

My first car in 1987 was a 1979 X1/9. Bought in road-ready condition for $500. Then we got a second for spares and nicer wheels for $200. Then we got another for more spares for $300. Drove the main one about 40k miles over 3 years mainly on twisty back roads of central NJ, doing lots of work (including pulling then

I hope it’s built better than the Continental.

except if it’s Primrose Yellow on pretty much any British car, especially this one

Assuming that one doesn’t car a whit about “image”, and can deal with the shorter interior space, how does a FWD Telluride compare driving-wise to a new Odyssey/Pacifica/Sedona? Any more responsive handling? Any rougher ride? turning circle? I’ve always sung the praises of Minivans over SUVs for anyone that doesn’t

Right on.

just look at all that glass!! Coming from a contemporary car/SUX with letter-box sized windows this must be like driving a hamster ball.
