Simple solution...don't move the console while it's on. If you shook your DVD drive in your PC, it would scratch discs too. You don't shake your PC while it's on.

There will be a considerable need for helium-3 once we figure out nuclear fusion...there's not a lot on Earth, but plenty on the moon and in other places. That will eventually drive commerce in space.
