The BBC had a reporter speaking live to the camera from Goodwood this morning, as the P 4/5 was being parked up at the side of the shot. I wanted so much for the camera operator to ignore the reporter and move to the car ;)
There is still a dedicated team working on Project CARS and support on the sort of timescales you mention has been explicitly promised. Just because the company is working on the sequel doesn’t mean that they’ve dumped the current game entirely!
It would be somewhat tricky to crowdfund the second game without announcing the second game though.
It was an interesting (if potentially very serious!) accident. Although Kimi seems to be taking responsibility the FOM coverage didn’t include any footage from Alonso’s car. I’d very much like to see that to understand how Alonso came to be in the position to be on the outside in the first place.
Indeed. Even when he replied to the question about treating the race as a test and said that all the new parts were on Alonso’s car he just sounded matter of fact rather than showing any resentment.
If you mean Hamilton’s off then David Coulthard’s analysis on the BBC coverage was that Hamilton’s left rear touched the track edge white line which may still have been wet.
Yes, I’m from and live in northern England and spent some years living in London also.
Span as the past tense of spin is apparently considered archaic now (I just looked it up because of your comment!). The modern equivalent would be spun, but I think I prefer span and will stick to it as it’s valid - albeit very old fashioned :D
Hamilton span into the first corner, as his inside rear wheel locked.
It’s a shame that the lighting and weather isn’t dynamic - as it is in Project CARS though.
That or the sidewall rubbing against the bodywork between the wheels. When I saw it happen I expected the tyre to deflate afterwards because I thought perhaps it was the edge of the floor...
It sounds glorious in person too. I attended the British GT race at Donington last year and it was easily the best sounding and most absurd yet somehow great looking car running there :)
The official livesteam states (via Google Translate):
Try reaching out to the Project CARS developers, Slightly Mad Studios (project portal, game website).
It was a typo, pointed out many times previously and already fixed. For some reason that GIF keeps popping up though...
The Gran Turismo logo on the livery is because that is the livery that the real car, which has been licensed along with the works team liveries, ran in real life. I am not sure how the developers feel about including the logo for a rival game but that's the way that licensing deals work out sometimes.
There are none. Akumazero has a crazy theory with no foundation in fact :)
Thanks for the video, now why do I feel like driving the Ginetta G40 at the pCARS Daytona equivalent... strange that.
At the moment there are:
